DIET:
*****
A few dietary changes along with home remedies for weak eyesight can improve your eyesight and avoid eye problems in future. Most eye problems occur due to the deficiency of vitamin A and thiamine in your diet. Vitamin A is highly beneficial for improving your eyesight. You can find good source of vitamin A in fresh milk, cheese, milk cream, butter, tomatoes, lettuce, turnip, cabbage, green peas, soya beans, oranges and dates.

Carrots are rich in vitamin A, iron, calcium, manganese, phosphorous and beta-carotene, which proves to be one of the useful home remedies for weak eyesight. Drinking a glass of carrot juice or snacking on carrots is a good natural remedy for weak eyesight.

Foods that are good for improving your eyesight are carrots, milk, beef and eggs. Fruits like blueberries and apricots are also known for their positive effects on improving your vision. Eggs have proteins and eating an egg daily will keep your eyes clear of cataract. Cucumber juice is also very helpful in improving your poor eyesight.

Include spinach in your daily diet as it contains iron, amino acids, vitamin A, B and C. It purifies your blood, increases the hemoglobin and improves your eyesight.

HERBAL TREATMENT FROM THE KITCHEN

HERBAL TREATMENT FROM THE KITCHEN...MUST READ!
Herbs and spices do more than simply add flavor to food. They let you cut down on some less-healthy ingredients, such as salt, added sugars and saturated fat, and some have inherent health benefits.

Modern science is beginning to uncover the ultimate power of spices and herbs, as weapons against illnesses from cancer to Alzheimer's disease.

While science has yet to show that any spice cures disease, there's compelling evidence that several may help manage some chronic conditions (though it's always smart to talk with your doctor). What's not to love? Here we've gathered eight of the healthiest spices and herbs enjoyed around the world.

Capsicum
May help: Boost metabolism.
Chile peppers add a much-appreciated heat to chilly-weather dishes, and they can also give a boost to your metabolism. Thank capsaicin, the compound that gives fresh chiles, and spices including cayenne and chipotle, their kick. Studies show that capsaicin can increase the body's metabolic rate (causing one to burn more calories) and may stimulate brain chemicals that help us feel less hungry. In fact, one study found that people ate 16 percent fewer calories at a meal if they'd sipped a hot-pepper-spiked tomato juice (vs. plain tomato juice) half an hour earlier. Recent research found that capsinoids, similar but gentler chemicals found in milder chile hybrids, have the same effects-so even tamer sweet paprika packs a healthy punch. Capsaicin may also lower risk of ulcers by boosting the ability of stomach cells to resist infection by ulcer-causing bacteria and help the heart by keeping "bad" LDL cholesterol from turning into a more lethal, artery-clogging form.

Ginger
May help: Soothe an upset stomach, fight arthritis pain.
Ginger has a well-deserved reputation for relieving an unsettled stomach. Studies show ginger extracts can help reduce nausea caused by morning sickness or following surgery or chemotherapy, though it's less effective for motion sickness. But ginger is also packed with inflammation-fighting compounds, such as gingerols, which some experts believe may hold promise in fighting some cancers and may reduce the aches of osteoarthritis and soothe sore muscles. In a recent study, people who took ginger capsules daily for 11 days reported 25 percent less muscle pain when they performed exercises designed to strain their muscles (compared with a similar group taking placebo capsules). Another study found that ginger-extract injections helped relieve osteoarthritis pain of the knee.

Cinnamon
May help: Stabilize blood sugar.
A few studies suggest that adding cinnamon to food-up to a teaspoon a day, usually given in capsule form-might help people with type 2 diabetes better control their blood sugar, by lowering post-meal blood-sugar spikes. Other studies suggest the effects are limited at best.
Turmeric
May help: Quell inflammation, inhibit tumors.
Turmeric, the goldenrod-colored spice, is used in India to help wounds heal (it's applied as a paste); it's also made into a tea to relieve colds and respiratory problems. Modern medicine confirms some solid-gold health benefits as well; most are associated with curcumin, a compound in turmeric that has potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Curcumin has been shown to help relieve pain of arthritis, injuries and dental procedures; it's also being studied for its potential in managing heart disease, diabetes and Alzheimer's disease. Researcher is bullish on curcumin's potential as a cancer treatment, particularly in colon, prostate and breast cancers; preliminary studies have found that curcumin can inhibit tumor cell growth and suppress enzymes that activate carcinogens.

Saffron
May help: Lift your mood.
Saffron has long been used in traditional Persian medicine as a mood lifter, usually steeped into a medicinal tea or used to prepare rice. Research from Iran's Roozbeh Psychiatric Hospital at Tehran University of Medical Sciences has found that saffron may help to relieve symptoms of premenstrual syndrome (PMS) and depression. In one study, 75% of women with PMS who were given saffron capsules daily reported that their PMS symptoms (such as mood swings and depression) declined by at least half, compared with only 8 percent of women who didn't take saffron.

Parsley
May help: Inhibit breast cancer-cell growth.
University of Missouri scientists found that this herb can actually inhibit breast cancer-cell growth, reported Holly Pevzner in the September/October 2011 issue of EatingWell Magazine. In the study, animals that were given apigenin, a compound abundant in parsley (and in celery), boosted their resistance to developing cancerous tumors. Experts recommend adding a couple pinches of minced fresh parsley to your dishes daily.

Rosemary
May help: Enhance mental focus, fight foodborne bacteria.
One recent study found that people performed better on memory and alertness tests when mists of aromatic rosemary oil were piped into their study cubicles. Rosemary is often used in marinades for meats and poultry, and there's scientific wisdom behind that tradition: rosmarinic acid and other antioxidant compounds in the herb fight bacteria and prevent meat from spoiling, and may even make cooked meats healthier. In March 2010, Kansas State University researchers reported that adding rosemary extracts to ground beef helped prevent the formation of heterocyclic amines (HCAs)-cancer-causing compounds produced when meats are grilled, broiled or fried.

Great Home Pedicure (Both Boys & Girls)

Great Home Pedicure (Both Boys & Girls)

1. Start with a Clean Slate
For girls, if u have nail polish on then Use a couple of cotton balls and try to find a remover that is acetone free . This kind of product won’t dry out your nails, and so will help to reduce brittleness and Breakage.
Boys will start from the next step.

2. Soak
Put a few towels down on the floor in front of a comfortable chair. Fill a basin with hot water, add a few drops of your favourite essential oil – peppermint is good; so is orange – and soak your feet for about fifteen minutes. If they’re particularly dry and callused, add about a 50 mls of milk to the warm water: the lactic acid will help to soften the skin. You might want position yourself in front of the TV or, alternatively, make sure you have a good book on hand to help you pass the time.

3. Scrub
Exfoliate your feet with a scented scrub. These are really effective and can be very easily made at home. Add some berry pulp and dash of olive oil to a handful of yellow sugar or a course sea salt. Pay special attention to calluses and rough patches, working in firm, circular motions to buff away dead skin and stimulate circulation. Rinse thoroughly when you’re finished.

4. Pumice
Using a pumice stone, work at softening problem areas, such as heels, where skin has thickened and may have cracked. If you think pumice is too vicious an exfoliator, you’ll find about a million different varieties of foot scrubber at your local pharmacy: browse through these and pick something a little less brutal.

5. Lotions
Use a good cuticle cream on your toe nail beds and get to work with an orangewood stick. If you don’t have a store-bought cuticle treatment, a few drops of olive oil works pretty well. Once you’ve finished with your nail beds, apply a nourishing cream to your entire foot and lower calf. Take some time to massage this into the skin, again in circular motions, and to apply between your toes as well.

6. Clip and File
After the initial soak, your toe nails should be easy to trim. Remember always to clip them in a straight line to avoid in-growth, and to make sure they’re neither too short nor too long. With a good nail file, gently smooth any rough or uneven edges and create the shape you want.

FOR GIRLS:

7. Paint
Remember to apply a base coat: this will protect your nails from staining and should help the polish to go on smoothly and evenly. Use toe separators to reduce the risk of smudging and try to paint every nail with the same, regular strokes.

7 Positively Effective Ways to Make Your Hair Grow Faster

7 Positively Effective Ways to Make Your Hair Grow Faster
1. Keep Up with Trims
It may seem a little backwards to keep cutting when you want to make your hair get longer, but frequent cuts are actually one of the best ways to make your hair grow faster. Trims help keep the hair healthy and eliminate split ends caused from heat damage. Split ends can stunt the growth of your hair, so keeping the ends trimmed is good.

2. Hot Oil Scalp Massages
Some believe that hot oil scalp massages will make your hair grow faster. I’m not completely sold on the idea, but it sounds so relaxing. Even if it doesn’t increase the growth of the hair it will help keep the hair healthy. Healthy hair generally does grow much faster.

3. Egg Whites
Many of the best ways to make your hair grow faster can be done right at home — like this method. Whisk together the whites of 3 eggs. Massage the egg whites into the hair and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes. The nutritional vitamins of the egg whites will seep into the hair, making it stronger and healthier. Having strong healthy vitamin rich hair is the trick to making your hair grow faster.

4. Drink Water
Water makes everything grow! It is a quick and natural method that will make your short hair grow and become fuller a lot faster. In the event you drink about 8 cups of water a day, not only will your body feel better, but your hair will get stronger too. The stronger the hair, the faster that it grows.

5. Limit Blow Drying
Sometimes the best ways to make your hair grow faster are to avoid certain things. If you can’t go a day with out blow drying your hair, at least try to let it dry as much as possible on its own. Too much heat exposure can damage and slow the growth of your hair. Blow drying your hair less will make your hair grow faster.

6. Eat Protein
Protein benefits your hair. It provides your hair with important nutrients to grow. Eating a protein rich diet will help your hair to grow faster. Fill up on lean red meats, chicken and fish, nuts, dairy and eggs to get plenty of protein.

7. Vitamin B
Eating the right foods is actually one of the best ways to make your hair grow faster. Your hair needs vitamin B to grow strong and healthy. Without it your hair will feel dry and brittle, and it will break easily. Make sure your multivitamin has a good amount of vitamin B. You can also get it from eating bananas and peppers.
